Setting up offices in Sweden and Denmark

Norwegian Hydrogen will strengthen our presence in Sweden and Denmark over the next few months. This was always part of the plan, and as we are now involved in several exciting projects in both Sweden and Denmark it is the right time for us to establish a permanent presence.

The new subsidiaries NH2 Denmark A/S and NH2 Sweden AB have already been established, and by the end of this year, we will have a Country Manager employed in both countries. Denmark and Sweden are important markets for us, and we will produce and distribute our green hydrogen to a wide range of customer segments in the entire Nordic region.

Jens Berge, CEO of Norwegian Hydrogen, says that the new Country Managers will work closely with the rest of the organization in Norway. “At the same time as we’re setting up offices and recruiting people in Denmark and Sweden, we’re also hiring several more people in Norway in the same time period. The organization in Norway will support the Country Managers a lot, and make sure that there’s good progress on everything we have in our project pipeline. And then, gradually, we will also recruit more people in Denmark and Sweden, as well as in the other Nordic countries”, says Berge.

Vireon, a fully owned subsidiary of Norwegian Hydrogen and the leading hydrogen refueling company in the Nordics, has secured a pivotal EU grant of €9.2 million (NOK 106 million) to spearhead the construction of green hydrogen production and refueling stations for heavy-duty vehicles across Finland and Denmark. This marks a groundbreaking step in Vireon's mission to drive the transition to a decarbonized transportation network throughout Europe.

This week, Grøn Brint started their hot commissioning program, adding power and producing the first hydrogen molecules from its Hjørring plant. This marks a key milestone in the company's journey toward the production of green hydrogen for their customer, biogas company GrønGas.

Norwegian Hydrogen unveils expansion into Finland with a new hydrogen production plant in Tornio

Norwegian Hydrogen AS finally discloses some of their ambitions in Finland, by announcing an important green hydrogen project in Tornio. Tornio has been selected as one of Norwegian Hydrogen's locations for production of green hydrogen in Finland, and a 20-hectare area in the Arctic North industrial area has already been reserved for the company.
